I wrote a column in Canadian HR Reporter this week in which I raise some serious questions about the “digital by default” (i.e. permanent work from home) trend recently embraced by several prominent technology companies.
Were we really made to live our work lives in isolation?
Even the most people-centric organizations would be well advised to watch carefully for the early returns on the “digital by default” strategy, or at least explore the alternatives, before joining this parade themselves.
